Albio is a blood alcohol test and gives an accurate value of blood-ethanol level in 25 seconds. It is designed to be used in field circumstances but is as usable also in ED’s and similar environments.

Unconscious patients and patients with severe trauma are unable to make a breath-test. With Albio, paramedics can exclude or confirm the possibility for alcohol intoxication, and thus save a lot of time getting the proper diagnosis.

Albio measures up to 5 ‰ with high accuracy, and being a blood sample based system, it has no similar disturbances as similar rapid tests.

Albio has a great economic impact. Tests being 10 to 40 times cheaper than current methods can bring up to €125 savings for each test. In addition, it doesn't require any expensive maintenance or calibration.
